AiR announces a call for residencies for artists in the Mistra programme

Published March 15, 2022

Artist-in-residence programme conducted by Mistra programme in collaboration with Charles University in Czech Republic, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Sweden, and the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia.

The first Open Call is receiving applications from the 1st of March until the 31st of April 2022. This AiR@CU invites one artist to spend August and September of 2022 in Prague, Czech Republic. It awards the artist a grant of 3 400 EURO, access to library and IT network facilities, and a dialogical exchange with the research and researchers immersed in the Mistra Environmental Communication research project, as well as, support to produce a showcase of the artist’s work and a feature in a collective exhibition that brings together the three participating universities in 2023. We ask that artists apply with project proposals that intersect academia and art in relation to Sweden, environmental communication and the Mistra Environmental Communication research programme.

The second Open Call will be for AiR@SLU, hosted in Uppsala, Sweden, and the third will be the AiR@USC hosted on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. I would be happy to provide you with more information pertaining to these as their application periods open.
