International Online Conference by The ASSET: Theatre Audiences

The International Online Conference with the topic Theatre Audiences is a part of the Audience Segmentation System in European Theatres project (ASSET) and offers two afternoons (26th and 27th May) of presentations, discussions and an interactive programme devoted to theatre audiences.

The conference is organized by the Department of Production at The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in cooperation with the Arts and Theatre Institute with partners from five European countries.

The ASSET project team will share the results of the two-year audience research implemented in collaboration with arts organizations and universities in Prague, London, Zagreb, Vienna, Sofia, and Helsinki and present the methodology used to segment the theatregoing public in twenty participating theatres across these European capitals. The discussion will then address the topic of the evidence-based cultural policy-making with the focus on the availability of audience data locally and internationally, the topic of the model of the segments of the theatre audiences based on their preferred content with proposals of the approach in theatres’ programming and communication praxis and many more.
