The monograph about Slovakian artist and her artwork by Gabriela Garlatyová, Ruth Noack, Joanna Mytkowska, Jan Verwoert, Noemi Smolik and Matúš Lelovský.
The monograph Maria Bartuszová: Catalogue Raisonné was published in 2022 and provides a comprehensive overview of the Czech-born Slovak sculptor Maria Bartuszová and her art career. Maria Bartuszová was a sculptor who gained recognition for her innovative use of materials and exploration of form.
The catalogue shows sculptures, drawings, and photographs and it also includes essays by prominent art historians and curators who discuss Bartuszová’s contributions to the field of contemporary sculpture. Bartuszová’s work is characterized by its abstract, minimalist style and her fascination with organic shapes and materials. Her sculptures are not intended to represent anything specific but rather to create a dialogue between form, material, and space.
This project has been supported using public funds provided by Slovak Arts Council.
