The Czech Literary Centre, a section of Moravian Library in Brno, published two new brochures on Czech literature, written in English.
The brochure New Czech Books: Autumn 2019 with an introductory word by the head of the Czech Literary Centre Martin Krafl summarizes books that could be of particular interest for foreign publishers and translators, in the field of poetry, prose, children’s and youth literature, comics, nonfiction and genre literature, in the past half of 2019.
The publication Czech Comics since 2000 contains a selection of Czech comic book production since 2000 and is an update of the brochure from 2017. The author of the introductory text is José Alaniz.
The latest additions to the numerous information brochures of the Czech Literary Centre are published with the aim of informing and directing foreign readers of Czech literature to the most interesting literary achievements in the given period – a number of literary professionals and academics are involved in the selection of titles for each yearbook.
