The annual event of digital and creative culture, Signal Festival, which was supposed to take place from 15 to 18 October in Prague is canceled due to the restrictions concerning COVID-19 in the Czech Republic.
“Until the last moment, we believed and hoped. The whole team was incessantly adapting to the new measures and each of our steps was consulted with epidemiologists. We wanted to do everything for the festival to run smoothly and for us all to remain safe. Health has always been the top priority for us. And as we said earlier, we do not want to take unnecessary risks.” The festival’s crew came up with plan B.
On Thursday, October 15, they will light up Petřínská rozhledna as the Lighthouse by visual artist Kryštof Kintera to symbolize the beginning of the canceled festival as well as the initiative to support Czech culture.
