The Czech Chamber of Architects has announced winner of Czech Architecture Award

Published November 14, 2022

The prize was awarded to a custom family house by Barbara Weinzettl and Jiří Weinzettl from the 111 architects studio.

Seven-member expert jury selected among the nominees from 201 submitted buildings such realizations that exhibit high aesthetic and technical qualities and at the same time interact appropriately with the surroundings and have a social benefit. The winning projects were selected from 29 nominated architectural works.

“The building for housing is created by connecting two neighbouring houses. … Weare getting rid of inappropriate modern elements, such as a large dormer with a balcony and plastic windows. Behind the additions, we are discovering the original stonework and small, valuable historical fragments.” say architects.
