New digital collection has been created on Google platform Art and Culture on the occasion of the Czech Presidency of the European Union and presents important Czech artists, artistic movements and collections of cultural institutions.
The digital platform for the presentation of artworks with a range of means from videos demonstrating the processes of creation, virtual tours of Czech galleries, thematic presentations, introductions of artists through their works and commentaries on the details of artworks and games. We can look forward to works of Czech surrealism by Toyen and Jindřich Štýrský, unique Czech cubism, a selection of masterpieces such as Lines by Zdeněk Sýkora, Antonín Procházka, Josef Čapek and Alfons Mucha. We can also see the applied design of cubism or the furniture of Villa Tugendhat.
The collection was created in cooperation with 19 cultural institutions, including the National Gallery, the National Museum, the National Theatre, the Prague City Gallery, the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, the Museum of Decorative Arts, the Villa Tugendhat, the Mucha Foundation and the Olomouc Museum of Art.
