The Czech National Ballet will present the world online premiere of Puppet by choreographer Douglas Lee.
Both, the choreographer and the company, had to adapt to new conditions in the season 2020/2021 and successfully instigated creative energy, sought new artistic impulses and created Puppet. The premiere will be broadcasted on youtube on Thursday, March 18th at 19.00.
Douglas Lee:
“My ballet is called Puppet. I love the use of plasticity in a dancer’s body and achieving beauty, nevertheless, the idea of puppetry suggests an outside force moving the dancer’s limbs or an unusual non-human way of articulating the joints. (…).”
